Unele din centrele de colectare lana prezente in tara ofera, pe langa colectarea propriu zisa, si facilitati de balotare, spalare a lanii, procesare (paturi, stofe, termoizolati, etc.) si export. De asemenea, ajutorul de minimis de sustinere a crescatorilor de ovine pentru comercializarea lanii reglementeaza acordarea unui sprijin de 2 lei/kg lana comercializata catre un centru de colectare sau o unitate de procesare a lanii. La nivelul tarii s-au inregistrat aproximativ 36.000 de beneficiari.
Centrele care colecteaza lana sunt localizate pe intreg teritoriul tarii, astfel incat se colecteaza lana de la toti crescatorii de ovine, iar Directiile pentru Agricultura Judetene pun la dispozitia asociatiilor crescatorilor de ovine datele de contact ale acestora.
Centrele de colectare a lanii sunt localizate in judetele: Bacau, Bistrita Nasaud, Braila, Constanta, Galati, Hunedoara, Maramures, Mehedinti, Sibiu, Suceava, Tulcea si Vaslui.
